Our people

Vanessa has over 30 years experience working in Health and Human Services and is committed to effective and practical change that enhances the lives of children and young people facing adversity. Vanessa brings skills to the Sister2sister board in child welfare, having begun her career as a developmental psychologist, and more recently, through multiple roles focused on enhancing the impact of policy and programs in the areas of child protection and youth homelessness.

Vanessa has worked in state government, community, and tertiary education sectors – with experience spanning the child and family services system from the perspective of policy, practice, and research and evaluation - and currently works for a global not-for-profit dedicated to policy impact and getting evidence into practice.

Vanessa has a PhD from the University of NSW and an adjunct position with Monash University.

Vanessa is thrilled to join the Board of Directors and contribute to the Sister2sister Foundation in continuing to achieve impact for girls and young women.
